Frank Siurano for Abode Well
Frank finds art in the everyday, figuratively and literally. Much of his art and design work is inspired by the recycled objects discovered on the neighborhood streets of Northeast Los Angeles, where he lives. The nearby sights and sounds of Griffith Park and the horse stables that line the L.A. River influence his work.
Using recycled objects is now a global concern, but since his youth, Frank has had an innate curiosity about the life of objects; how they worked, where they came from, who they belonged to and what they meant. The previous life of an object can be transformed and reused to continue telling a story and Siurano wants not only to listen to the story, but to be a storyteller as well.
