Brandon Morrison for Whyr'hymer Furniture

Brandon Morrison is a native of Louisiana and has lived in Los Angeles for 7 years. His southern roots have shaped his character and influenced his designs and work ethic.

Originally an actor and musician, Brandon pursued his calling in furniture design and woodworking by way of necessity. Not having the money to buy nice furniture, he thought "why pay for something I can teach myself to build?", and decided all he needed were the tools. From this, Whyr'hymer Furniture was born. In homage to the dialect of his home state, the name of his furniture - Whyr'hymer - comes from an amusing encounter with a family friend in Louisiana who in his thick accent mispronounced the word Weimaraner when speaking of Brandon's dog.

Brandon has moved far beyond simply building furniture. He has grown to be an extraordinary craftsman and visionary for his own style of furniture and lighting. Woodworking has become his way of life. He honors nature by creating furniture full of life. In Brandon's own words, "I put all of my life's moments into my work, hoping that each piece of furniture I create will have an effect on the room it's in and the people who use it. What comes from my hands, comes from my heart."
